ONE DAY!!

In one day there will be a wedding in Los Angeles, California. These wedding is going to be the most amazing and life changing day in both lives of Jared and Ashley. Two families, one wedding, equals a day that will never be forgotten.

For those who are attending the temple ceremony, please arrive at the temple at 9:00am. The sealing is at 10:30am. White temple clothing is requested during the ceremony. Clothing is available at the temple if you do not have your own. After the ceremony there is going to be pictures taken on the temple grounds, so family, friends, and anyone who would like to be there to be in the pictures, you should probably be there around 11:00 11:30 am.

The reception at the Bloomfield Stake Center is at 4:00pm. The address is:

IT'S COMING....

Hello All!


Two and a half weeks and we are Mr. and Mrs. Malili. Very strange to say out loud still lol. I just wanted to let you know what is happening and what is about to happen. 


Jared has one more football game left of the season, and that is this Saturday. He is awesome at breaking other people's ribs. I'm sorry that I've only seen him break a few. ;) Nah, I'm actually more amazed at how he developed some friendships with some of the athletes of the opposing team he was lining up against. Wish the people who recorded the stats for home games would have watched the games. Lammmeee


I'm teaching and volunteering at elementary schools in the area and looking into Masters programs for once I graduate.I also do a little bit of work as an assistant admissions counselor at SVU.  I'm a regular attender of football practices and games, a sometimes annoying and/or obnoxious white girl in the stands. I have a pretty packed class schedule, as does Jared, and we both are amazed that we aren't dead yet.


If you have not received an invitation yet, here are some important dates and times:
Ashley's Endowment - November 13th, 2010 at 9:30 am at the Salt Lake Temple. I've spoken with those I've invited to attend.
Temple sealing of Jared and Ashley - November 20th, 2010, at 10:30 am in the Los Angeles Temple. Arrive around 11 or 11:30 for pictures. 
Reception - November 20th, 2010, at 4:30pm in the 
Cerritos Stake Center

More Design Ideas

What I like about this very white decor, are the hanging light stars and the twinkle lights in the drapes. But...wayy to white. Reminds me of the Labyrinth for some weird reason.lol

If we didn't do drapes, or sheets, I would like this.

They just have twinkle lights on the walls and on what looks like anything without a heartbeat. I like it.

Update

Jared called the Los Angeles Temple and found out that it is going to be open on November 20th. Party on. We were unable to schedule a time on that day, but we can at the end of July. We are both going to the Salt Lake temple two weeks before our wedding day, the weekend of November 6.

Summer Plans

Ashley's Summer Plans:

•  June 25th: Flying out to Des Moines, IA to help the fam pack up and move out. 
• June 29th: U-haul arrives and we fill it up. We leave the next day and begin the trek west.
• July 1/2: we arrive, just like the pioneers, in the Salt Lake Valley. :) hahaa...this blogging thing is so much fun :). I'll make sure we wear our bonnets when we drive in. lol
• July 3: Latterday Bride day! Galleria mall, here we come. (This is tentative, and will probably change)
• July 12-17: Still being discussed
• July 20 - 31 : going to be in California.

Bouquets

My sister Mckenna is the bouquet master. Here are some ideas she and I found (mostly her though). We can use some of these styles for the bridesmaid's bouquets, or for their leis. I was thinking of either having the bridesmaid bouquets/leis be all gold(see the picture of the gold bouquet), or all purple. We're still thinkin about it still.

Themes and More Ideas

     Yo! This is a little update of what is going on in the minds of Jared and Ash. 

The newest pictures I've posted are ideas that Jared and I really like. I had a lot of fun with some of these pictures lol.  

The picture with the starry ceiling is something we are very serious about having at our reception. 

The Wedding Plans

Besides the basic information of where and when we're getting married (November 20, 2010 in the Los Angeles Temple), here's some more information that Jared and I have talked about:

• We want a Taco Lady at the reception :)
• We're thinking of getting married in the temple (in the morning if available) and having the reception in the evening. We're still talking about it, so we'll let you know for sure what is going on when we know.
• Jared and I are going to be getting our Engagement pictures taken in July by our good friend who is a great photographer (she took the main picture of Jared and I posted on this blog). We're unsure of the exact date of when we're getting the pictures taken, but again you'll know when we know. These pictures will be used for the wedding invitations.
• Ashley is going to be in Salt Lake City, UT for the first two weeks of July and then going to join Jared in southern California for the second half of July. 
•  Jared has football camp the month of August, and his first game is August 26th.
• Ashley's great wedding dress hunt will hopefully come to an end in July.
• Cake Lady = Ashley's mom
• Flower Power Chick= Jared's mom
• We're checking out Jared's stake center in his hometown (Bellflower). It's the Ceritos Stake Center. Jared's checking it out in June, and I'll join him in July and check it out then. 
• We are going to be traveling back to the great and mysterious land of Buena Vista, Virginia after his cousin Terry's wedding. We're driving back...yikes.
• Jared and Ashley are trying to talk with the Stake Prez out here in Virginia about Ashley being able to go to the temple to have her endowments taken out in July at the Salt Lake City Temple. But if that doesn't work out then it'll probably happen in November. 
• We're still coming up with more ideas so stayed tuned! hahaa...
